Fam-Damily Pictures

We got the whole Braithwaite gang together (Blaine, Diane, Brain, Jason, Me, Alex, Rachel and Cole) at Wheeler Farm at the end of May for some family pictures.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE that even though JoRae quit doing photography as a business I can always count on her to snap a few family photos and put her magic touches to them to make them look like this:

Thanks JoRae for capturing these moments of our family!!!

How About a little Halloween Action?

Yes yes, I know. I seem to disappear for months at a time but so goes the life of a working mother. So, much has happened since I blogged last. We moved, Alex started 2nd grade, Rachel started Kindergarten, Cole fell off the fireplace and got stitches, Alex turned 8 and got baptized, Rachel turned 6, the list goes on and on. I thought I'd start out my updating with a little bit of Halloween...

Cole is obsessed with Cars. I usually don't go for costumes with cartoon characters on them, but the little dude gets what the little dude wants....
Rach really wanted to be a witch this year (soooo much better than another princess, might I add)
Alex wanted to be a robber....easiest costume EVER....plus he can wear all these clothes year round (just not together)
Alex seems to think that since he's a robber he needs to steal Rachel's hat....ugh!
Believe it or not, this is NOT a costume....the man actually smiles from time to time.

Stay tuned for more updates!

These two boys are so alike! Cole will get his blankie, sit on Jason's lap, point at the TV and say "bike" when he wants to watch motocross with his daddy! Good thing we always have at least 10 races tapped on the DVR. Quality father/son time for sure!

Cole turns 2.....and moving AGAIN!!!!

First of all, I am so disappointed my myself for not blogging more.  I was on a roll there for about a month but then we found out we had to move again and I've been a frantic mess ever since.  The people we're renting from are moving back and want their house back (jerks!).  Just Kidding!  We were already looking at houses to buy but this just made us hurry up.  So, as it is now, we will be moving the last week of July.  We found a house in Riverton that should work well for us.  I'm trying to be excited about it...I'm just dreading moving again.

Since I'm way behind on blogging, I decided to just pick up where I left off and try to get caught up as I can.  Sooooo, Mr. Cole turned 2 on May 27th.  Poor little stinker was sick on his birthday.  I knew something was wrong when I pulled me into his room and pointed to his PJ's and insisted I put them on him at 1:00 in the afternoon.  By the time everyone got to our house for the party his temp was 103 degrees and he wasn't really in the mood to do anything....
At the party was Grandpa & Grandma Braithwaite, Uncle Brian, Mommy, Daddy, Alex, and Rachel
I wanted to make him a 4-wheeler cake for his birthday, but I couldn't find a dang 4-wheeler toy at the store.  So, a motocross cake had to do.  He LOVED it so I guess it was worth all the effort it took me to make it.
This picture is blurry, but it shows the squirrel that I made (my favorite part).
Cole couldn't wait to get the "bike" with the "guy" off and play with them.  I ended up having to hide the cake from him in my laundry room until the party because he was throwing such a fit over it.
Cole wasn't too exited to sit around and open presents either....
...until he got this 4-wheeler w/ a "guy" from Uncle Brian (where the heck did he find that toy?)

If you ask him how old he is, he sticks up his pointer fingers on both hands and says "doo".  It's so cute!  He's pretty good most of the time.  He really doesn't throw tantrums too often (yet) but he's got a scream that will drive you to drink (hence, my addiction to Diet Coke)!  He loves to play with "guys" on "bikes" and LOVES LOVES LOVES to be outside.  From the time he wakes up till the time he goes to bed he begs to have his "shoesh" on and stands at the door to go outside.  He loves to ride his little battery operated 4-wheeler around the circle and play with balls.  He gives the best kisses and is my best little buddy!  I just love this little guy and I can't believe he's already 2!

You scratch my back

I'll scratch yours! We were at Wheeler Farm taking pictures of the fam and we saw these donkeys "servicing each other". Ha ha ha, couldn't resist snapping a picture!

Rockin' Out!

Once again I catch Rachel with my cell phone taking pictures.  This time it was of Cole rockin' out to Jason's ipod.  He's pretty much a blurr but it's a perfect description of his dancing!

My Sister!

Poor little Rachel doesn't have a sister...and never will (unless Heavenly Father has a different plan for me that I don't know about!). She is always calling random things her "sister". The other day it was the stair railing post with a blanket wrapped around it and an apron over that.
And the headless mannequin had to step in as the older sister when we were shopping at Old Navy last summer (hooray for cell phone pics!)  Poor thing....I feel bad for her!!!

Best seat in town!!!

I was rushing around this morning trying to get ready for work when I walked outside and realized what a nice day it was going to be. So, I hurried and packed the back of my mini with some outdoor toys for the kids to play with at the baby sitter's house. Since I was running so late I decided to not bother with car seats. I opened the door and told Cole to sit down then proceeded to hop into the drivers seat and started backing out. When I looked back this is what I saw:

What a cute little boy!  Oh how I love him!!!!!!

Saturday = Soccer Day!

I'm sad I wasn't able to be at my kids soccer games today...someones gotta pay the bills though! Check out the cutie girl in yellow all the way to the right. Yep, that's my Rach. The cutie girl all the way to the left is Olivia. Jason says Rachel is taking after Alex's ways of playing soccer when he was her age. We call it "chasing butterflies". She has fun though and that's all that matters!

Alex got to play goalie today for the first time. He only let one ball get past him. Last week he was the star of his team by getting 3 goals! Maybe he does have some potential there after all!
Thanks to my hubby for making me feel like I was there by taking these pics with his blackberry and sending them to me at work!

Doing a post-a-day is harder than it sounds!

Especially when it's so nice outside! Today:

- Rachel had 2 playdates and basically ended up playing all day at other people's houses (yes!)
- The little dude was on day 2 of his croup. Good thing it helps to take them outside because he would live outside if I let him! He sounds awful!
- I was able to sit in the sun for a while and read "Catching Fire". It's such a good book! I wish I could read it non-stop till I'm finished!
- I went for a short ride on my bike only to find JoRae outside working in her yard. I stopped and talked to her for a while....fun to spend time with friends.

That's about it for my day. I get to work the next 3 days in a row....thankfully all day shifts. I can hardly wait to see the condition of my house come Tuesday morning!

I have a feeling I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!

I finally got my Mother's Day present yesterday and I was so stinkin' excited that I got my bike all tuned up and ready to go. So, I probably shouldn't admit that I haven't worked out since I broke my foot 1.5 years ago (and probably longer than that really) but it's the truth. It felt soooo good to get out in the fresh air, get my heart pumping, and get a decent workout. I had Rachel and Cole piled in the back with their blankies and a snack and they were as happy as could be!

I had my ipod (yes that says Ace of Base) to keep my motivated.

I decided to stop at the park on my way back home and let the kids play for a while.

When I got home I discovered that Rachel had discovered my phone and took a few pictures of her own:
Yikes! I know I said I like BIG butts but seriously, let's NEVER take another picture like this one again!
Thanks Jason and kids for my present!!!
