Getting the giggles in Primary

Probably not too many of you know that Jason REALLY likes to sing. When we first got married he had a "song of the day" which was many times, "It's Joe Albertson's, Supermarket!" He always sang in the shower and would try to stump me with songs. He would say, "I bet you don't know this one . . ." and proceed to sing a song. Well, his mom is a really good singer and I think Jason has the potential to be a great singer as well if he really tried.

Yesterday in primary, Jason (my Primary teacher partner) decided to sing in his lowest baritone voice he could manage. Mind you, I have heard this voice TOO MANY times to count and have never found it that funny. For some reason, when he started singing "One there was a snowman" in that voice it hit my funny bone. He sings only loud enough for a few people around to hear, so nobody ever really notices. But yesterday this little boy in the front row (probably 3 or 4 years old) kept turning around and giving Jason a funny look. That only fueled my fire. I couldn't stop laughing and Jason kept it up through "Do as I'm Doing", "I Am a Child of God", and "I Am Like a Star Shining Brightly". The kids in my class kept looking at me like "What's her problem?" But we all know how it is, when we know we are supposed to stop laughing but just can't. I was probably the most disruptive person in primary yesterday . . . oh well!

Shake what your momma gave ya!

I have really been trying to be better about working out lately. I have actually made it to the gym 3 days this week (go me)! Well, yesterday I went to a Salsa Dance class and it was SOOO fun! If none of you have tried it, I highly recommend it! It makes the hour fly past, and it's a great workout. I was totally sweating when we were done. Now, let's admit, I'm not the best dancer in the world, but who can resist a big fat pregnant lady shakin' her thing? It's worth a show if any of you want to join me!

Dear Salt Lake Friends:

As I watched the news today at 12:00, I noticed that it was REALLY cold, windy and snowy in Salt Lake today. The weatherman said it to be even colder tomorrow. Well, I started thinking to myself, "Is it cold and windy outside today?" Then I went outside. It was SUNNY and WARM here with temperatures in the 50's. We were actually out this afternoon in short sleeves and no jackets! Ha Ha Ha!

If anyone would like to visit, we have a swing set (with a baby seat), trampoline, and a park nearby. I ALWAYS love visitors!

It's a Boy!

We had our ultrasound yesterday and found out that we are having another crazy little boy. I had a hunch because I have been really itchy and I was with Alex but not with Rachel. I honestly think I am allergic to boys. Alex is soooo excited, he keeps telling everyone he sees. I overheard him tell his little frind Josh this morning that we are having a boy because the baby has a BIG PENIS (which he does according to the picture). I thought that Rachel would be sad, but I think she is still too young to care. She is just happy to be having a baby.

By the way, Jason finally admitted to me that he wanted a boy. He said that Alex needs a brother. His name choices so far are:

Buck Roger Braithwaite
Oscar Jim Braithwaite and call him O.J.
Dwight Braithwaite
Leroy Braithwaite

I will have to have a poll to find out the favorite.

Anyways, everything else looked good with the baby. He weighs a whopping 9 oz and is about 2 days ahead of schedule. We are really excited!

I really, truly am Pregnant

Okay, so I've been really bummed that my computer is being so lame lately, and I haven't wanted to do any new posts because I don't have any pictures, but I had to share with you a few things that have been going on with me.

First of all, yes, I am fully in maternity clothes now. It's sad, but true. I have always been able to hold off until AT LEAST 20 weeks, but not this time. It's a good thing that I like big butts, because I am getting one!

Second, I cry at just about anything. So, you know that dumb "Christmas Shoes" song that is always on FM100 at Christmas time? Well, I HATE that song. I think it is soooo cheesy. Well, I was in Springville for Christmas and just HAD to go visit that cute little Beau Edmunds. On my way (it was Christmas Eve day) I decided to get into the holiday spirit, so I turned on FM100. Lo and behold, the "Christmas Shoes" song come on. I thought to my self, "This dumb song? Gag!" But kept it on. About 45 seconds into it I started to cry my eyes out. I thought to myself, this is dumb, I hate this song, but I couldn't stop. I finally had to change the station. Then I was listening to Nirvana . . . not crying music, but i still couldn't stop. I literally had tears running down my cheeks and was sobbing. I kept trying to calm myself down, but nothing worked. This lasted for about 15 minutes. I kept telling myself, Jessica is going to think something is seriously wrong with me when I pull up. Luckily, the faucet stopped just as I was getting off the freeway at her exit . . . THANK GOODNESS!

I have been really lucky so far and have had a great pregnancy. I'm feeling great, loving food (obviously, nothing new), and excited for a new little one in the house. We find out what we are having on Tuesday. I don't care what we are having. Jason has a preference, but he won't tell me what it is (he thinks it will hurt the baby's feelings if it is the opposite sex . . . duh). So, stay posted to find out what it is.

Our Springville/St. George Christmas

Okay, so it has been a long while since I have had a new post. I've been pretty busy, but the main problem is that my computer is having some problems. Anyway, we had a fun but different Christmas this year. We spent Sunday afternoon until Christmas morning in Springville with my whole entire family, and then loaded up the car to head home to see Jason's family. It was so fun to be able to spend time with my whole family . . . I wish we could have stayed longer! Here are a few highlights of Christmas and the days leading up to them:

1. Watching my kids open their presents . . . all that hard work payed off
2. Staying up until 3:00 am 2 nights before Christmas wrapping presents with my sisters/sister-in-law
3. Feeling my baby move for the first time (for sure) on Christmas day!
4. Seeing cute little Beau Edmunds (Jessica's new baby) . . . he is so little!
5. Playing guitar hero in my parent's theater with my family (I'm actually pretty good!)
6. Staying up late on Christmas Eve with Kate and Lori putting together a puzzle, even though we were all sleep deprived and exhausted!
7. Food, food, and more food . . . LOVE IT!
8. Having a nap in the car on the way back to St. George (much needed!)
9. My new vacuum (I asked for it), books, and pj's . . . Thanks Jason, I Love You!
10. Watching my kids play in the snow, they had a blast!
11. Hearing about my parent's trip to Israel

Fab Friends

I just spent the last few days with my friends in Salt Lake. It was soooo good to see you all. I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in Jessica for not having her baby while I was there, jeez, what's wrong with you? And JoRae was quite gracious to me stay with her, despite what I may or may not have done to her bathroom! I was so happy to finally be able to meet little Finn and Lucy. 4 months old and just seeing them for the first time! Our annual friends Christmas party/Jessica's surprise baby shower was a blast. Too bad we had to have a blizzard that night! It was fun to see Jamie, Mandy, Krista, Jessica Schocker (who will always be Schocker to me!), Jessica Edmunds, Cami, Lindsay, and JoRae! I seriously had the best time and was so sad to leave. I could have stayed for another 2 weeks and not done all that I wanted to do. I have to admit that I have gotten really used to the traffic here in St. George, and it freaked me out a little bit to drive on the freeway with 4 lanes plus the carpool lane! I've turned into a grandma driver for sure! And the snow . . . I can't say that I miss it, but I will say that it made it feel like Christmas!

With only 15 days to Christmas, I am starting to feel the stress. We pretty much have all of our family taken care of, but it seems like my list keeps getting longer instead of shorter. $20 gift for this party and $10 gift for another party, white elephants, and neighborhood gifts are hanging over my head. Not to mention our Christmas cards. I guess I need to stop playing and GET TO WORK!
