I have been contemplating cutting Rachel's hair for a few months now. I originally wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love. Her hair is surprisingly thick for only being 3 and I would LOVE to help someone else out who has cancer and needs a wig.
Jason, of course, is against it. Just like every typical man, he loves long hair. So, I began to think that I would still cut it, but just not the 10 inches that is required for Locks of Love. Her hair is really pretty, but man, what a pain in the butt! She cries every time I have to brush it and it gets so tangled doing normal "kid" stuff that I usually just have it in braids anyway.
Thanks to Lindsay, I discovered the She Does Hair Blog and have been trying new hairstyles on Rachie. Not all the hairstyles require long hair, but a lot of them do.
HELP! I want your opinion. Her hair appointment is tomorrow, so I only have 1 day to decide. Tell me what you think.
Oh, oops, that's a picture of a hair experiment gone terribly wrong!

my sister's 3 yr old just cut her own bangs:( so she had to take her to a hairdresser to fix it. they did a little dorothy hamill hair cut. her little girl is the same about combing, curling, and having her hair done... she doesn't like it. my sister says the haircut is perfect for katie- my niece, because it looks cute without having to do anything to it. i think the locks of love is a great idea.
Okay, I donated my hair to locks of love a few years ago and I could have given more than 10 inches but I was scared. After I cut it, I kicked myself for not just giving them what I could! It's hair, it is growing right now (what my mom always said when I cut my bangs too short in Junior High...every time!). She has such a cute little face and it's summer....give her a cute little bob to her chin! She could totally pull it off.
I love it, it really is beautiful. BUT it will grow, that's why I change my hair up so often, it will always grow back if you want it long. And it's always fun to have a change. But it really is so pretty! Sorry, not a lot of help here.
Will Jason be mad? Nate once told me that I really hurt his feelings when I cut Annie's hair short. I'm not sure how it hurt his feelings ???, but I did feel bad that he had such strong feelings about his little girl's long hair. It was so cute though and I loved it short, so I say go for it unless it's gonna make Jas cry!
I am the opposite of everyone else. I would never ever in a million years cut Brylee's hair, unless I had too. I love long hair way too much on little girls. She would look cute either way though!
OK I'm bummed I missed that post because you probably already had her hair app. So????? What did ya do?
I love the "curly sue" look. Hilarious! She is soooo cute! By the way, how was your b-day?
