...At least that's what Jason calls it. Jason took these pictures with his 'work' camera and emailed them to me a few weeks ago. I just have to laugh at them. Seriously. Okay. Here they are:

I believe that these pictures were taken after surgery #2. I had to stick my other foot up there next to E.F. so that you could get an idea of just how DANG swollen it was.
So, how is it now you ask? Well, minus the stitches and bruising, it looks pretty similar to that after working a 12 hour night shift (3+ pitting edema). Other than that, it's still swollen but only about 1/3 that amount. It still hurts to be in a regular athletic shoe (good excuse not to exercise, right?) but it fits well into most of my other shoes.
I'm thinking it won't be normal again until I get the pins and wire out. I have an appointment next month to see about that. Until then...
p.s. If you see me limping, tell me to knock it off!

Oh Nance, you poor thing! I'm sorry that it's not feeling all the way better yet. You need to come up here again so I can take care of you.
WOW- Jessica was up early this morning, I have a feeling that's gonna be me when baby girl comes.
Your foot looks so painful. Funny that you call it elephant foot. You're other foot looks tiny next to it. Well I hope you are recooperating well. Miss Ya!
Oh man...that foot is not pretty. You never told me what happened. I'm new to your world and missed the whole foot thing.
Oh well, refer to my blog archives starting Nov 2nd. That should explain it all!
Shmance. I'm sorry. I hope that pin removal=no more swollen to 3+.
E.F. - you are a nerd. I didn't know you had to get the pins and wire out! That sounds just as painful!
Sorry about E.F. Hope it keeps improving for you!
Thanks for the update! Hopefully you will be able to get those dang pins and wires out and it will feel much better! Can't wait to see you!
