Lacy gave me these cute scrubs for Cole as a baby gift. I just LOVE to dress him in them! I know it's nerdy, but I always have him wear them when I am at work. I'm sad that they aren't going to fit him much longer. This little stinker is growing way too fast!

Holy Yumminess!
Has this ever happened to you at 8 pm on a Wednesday night: Hey, (insert name), I need 2 dozen cookies to take to work in the morning. Well, it happened to me. Great. To make matters worse, I peered into my cupboards only to discover that I didn't have any chocolate chips for my standard choco-chip cookies. So, I pulled out the trusty ol' "Larsen Family Cook Book" to see if I had the ingredients for some other type of lesser yummy cookies. That's when I re-discovered these bits o' heaven:
I'm sure you have all had these before, but I thought they were worth a mention since they occupied my mind for the rest of the week.
Home Made Oreos
2 Pkgs of Devils Food Cake Mixes
1/2 Cup Flour
4 Eggs
1 Cup Oil
1 Tub of Cream Cheese Frosting
Mix oil and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake @ 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Frost with cream cheese frosting and put another cookie on top to make a sandwich.

Preschool Days
Alright, I'm only 22 days behind on this post. Rachel started preschool on September 3rd. Her teacher is Mrs. Kathy (or Mrs. Taffy if you're Rachel - she can't say her K's). She is loving every minute of it and comes home so talkative about what they learned. I love that she has something to alleviate her boredom (and give me a little break at the same time). She insisted on wearing this dress on her first day - not too practical for going out to play, but it was her first day so I caved.
I love to ask her what is on her backpack. It's Hello Kitty - and remember she can't say her K's.
She was so tired after her first day and it's rough posing for a picture when you just want to go lay down on the couch! This is her with her "fuzzy hat" that she got on her first day.
Cowgirl day was last Friday. She had so much fun dressing up! Yee Ha!
She wore these boots all day long and put them on first thing the next morning too.
I'm loving my Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons with just Cole at home, but I love it when she gets home too! She is so entertaining and cracks me up with the things she says. She really is a GREAT kid!

Oops!
Last night at work I snarted in my patient's room (ya know, sneeze fart). I, of course, didn't acknowledge it and neither did anyone else. However, I am quite certain that the doctor, the patient, and the patient's husband all heard it. Oh well, what do you do?
A big shout out to my hubby for fixing my computer. I've been unable to get on the Internet from it for about a week now . . . so THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Tag 'o Threes
I've been tagged by Kamille. I really SHOULD be posting about Rachel's first day of Preschool, but I don't have the pictures uploaded yet. So, in the mean time, enjoy getting to know be better.
Joys:
1. My kids (duh . . . typical answer, but true)
2. Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi, either one will do. With a fresh lime, please.
3. a good book
Fears:
1. Spiders. It's a true, heart stopping, freeze me in my tracks fear.
2. My kids being raised by someone other than myself.
3. The economy and financial security
Goals:
1. To read the BOM in 60 days as challenged by the RS presidency yesterday
2. To do a major house scrub (before my SL friends come in October)
3. To lose 20 lb's (I'm not actually working on this one right now, but I should be . . . breastfeeding makes me famished!)
Current Obsessions:
1. New recipes. I am so sick of cooking the same ol' food. If you've got a great new recipe, I'd love to have it. Right now I'm dying to make Ashley's no-bake cookies.
2. TV - I seriously can't wait for the new fall line-up!
3. I hate to admit, but looking at blogs. I don't blog surf, but I like to see if my friends have updated. If it goes a few days I start to go through withdrawals.
Regrets:
1. That I got married as young as I did. Not that I would change who I married, I just didn't have much single time to have fun. Sometimes I get jealous when I hear my friends talking about those days . . .
2. Fiber One bars. love them. They are absolutely delicious, but after I eat them I ALWAYS regret it! (As do others around me if ya know what I mean!)
3. Lazy days (I occasionally have these and by occasionally I mean at least 2 a week - come on now, girlfriend works graveyards!) The regret comes when I have a pile of laundry to fold that's as tall as me.
Facts:
1. I couldn't live without treats. I need at least one a day . . . most of the time I need more than one.
2. I've lived in St. George for 2 1/2 years and I still have a Salt Lake cell phone number.
3. I hate styling my hair so I usually have it in a ponytail.

Displaying the Family Jewels
No, you grosso's I'm not posting a picture of my husband's 'unit' (I don't want to cause any jealousy). I am queen of starting a project and not finishing it. Anyways, I bought all the materials needed for this jewelry board BEFORE Cole was born and he's only 3 months old now . . . I'd say not too shabby considering I have a pair of scrubs that I started making right after I graduated from nursing school over 7 years ago! Jason helped me finally finish it while he was home on Labor Day and here's how it turned out:
I LOVE that I can see all of my jewelry at once. It was just in a pile on my bathroom counter prior to 2 days ago. (Secretly I think this is why Jason was so willing to help me with the project . . . the clean freak!)
We also spent our day off spending some 'quality' time with the kids. The plan was to go to the Main Street Splash Pad and then head over to Blue Bunny for some ice cream. It started out OK . . .
Rachie getting wet...
...and posing for the camera
This was Alex the entire time. I couldn't get him to hold still long enough to get a good picture.
What happened? Well, Rachel kept drinking the water (doesn't that water look so appetizing?), and Alex pretended to punch every person that walked past him - buttheads! So, we ditched the Blue Bunny idea, drove around for a while, and then did what Jason and I wanted to do. We went and got this:
Pork Salad . . . Yummy yummy!

Fun with the High School Taggaro
1. Did you date someone from your High School? Let's see. My boyfriend that I started out high school with was Elias Cairo. We broke up shortly after Sophomore year began. Then, my main boyfriend in high school, Vic Cee, went to Hillcrest (while I went to Brighton).
2. What kind of car did you drive? I started high school with an AWESOME navy blue Jeep Grand Wagoneer(with the wood paneling - thank you very much). After I totaled that car by rolling it, it was forced to share a white Grand Am with my sister until I talked my dad into "going in" on a forest green Jeep Wrangler.
3. What was the most embarrassing moment of High School for you? When we did a fly-by past Mr. Moiser's house, in my Jeep, with the top off, and 10,000 maniacs blasting (his favorite band). He looked up and saw us (Me, Jessica, Jamie, and Lindsay) and then had to face him in 1st period the next day . . . Lindsay would have normally been there with me but she had a dentist appt.
4. Were you a party animal? No . . . I was high on life.
5. Were you considered a flirt? I'm sure I had my flirting moments, but I wasn't the worst (Cami???).
6. Were you in Band, Orchestra, or Choir? Thanks, but no thanks.
7. Were you a nerd? No.
8. Were you on any Varsity teams? I tried to stay away from anything too athletic!
9. Did you ever get suspended/expelled? No, I was a good girl.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? Nope
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mr. Moiser (in the aforementioned story) he was a HOTTIE! I also enjoyed Mrs. Poole our home-ec teacher. She was clueless and looked like a poodle.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? Uhhh, let's see. When I went to Brighton we frequently went to Alex Hixon's house and devoured so much food I'm sure his mom was pissed that she had to go shopping afterwards! Other than that, I can't really remember. The last half of Senior Year I had work release so I just went home at lunch time.
13. What was your school's full name? I went to 2 (my choice) Brighton High School and Hillcrest High School
14. School mascot? Brighton Bengals and Hillcrest Husky's
15. Did you go to Homecoming? With who? Yes. Sophomore Year: Elias Cairo Junior Year: Vic Cee (we hit Brighton's & Hillcrest's Homecoming) Senior Year: Val Palmer
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Heck yeah . . .
17. What do you remember most about graduation? Graduation stated out with "threatening" skies that turned into a full blown thunderstorm. We had it out in the football field and ended up dancing on top of our chairs while they read the names as fast as they could. A few beach balls were smuggled in and were being bounced around too. It was so much fun! The only bad part about it was that my family left early because of the rain (my Grandma had gotten her hair done that day and didn't want it to get ruined) so nobody was there to greet me after the ceremony.
18. Where did you go Senior Skip Day? Uh, you mean EVERYDAY? Home, breakfast, 7-11, Friends houses, the canyons, downtown, you name it - we did it!
19. Were you in any clubs? No thanks.
20. Have you gained some weight since then? Hhhmmmm, let me think on that. YES! Dumb baby weight! Who needs to fit into their prom dress now anyways?
21. Who was your Prom Date? Sophomore Year: Vic Cee Junior Year: Vic Cee Senior Year: Jason Braithwaite (the hottie)
22. 10 year Reunion? Are you planning on going? 10 year reunion was 3 years ago at Lagoon of all places. No, I didn't go.
23. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? Have more fun! I wish that I had gone to Hillcrest all 3 years (and Cami too)!
