Cole has arrived....

...For those of you who are keeping track, my baby's birthday predictions turned our to be pretty darn close. After arriving at the hospital at a little after 4pm, our newest little guy was born at 7:58pm! He weighed in at 8lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long (our smallest yet). He does have a bit of a bruised face after being squished through the birth canal - his uncle Dan thinks he could join the Blue Man Group and fit right in. Surprisingly though, his color is much improved after just one day.
One of my predictions that didn't materialize was that the delivery would be pain free! I have a new found respect for those who's epidurals don't work. I experienced a numb leg, but that was about it - not too fun but worth it in the end!

Alex and Rachel are so excited about their new little brother, they can't wait for him to come home. Secretly though, I think they like coming to visit mommy in the hospital since they get a little pack of cookies from every nurse who comes in to check on me.

So....everything is great! Baby is eating well and as a result pooping profusely! Everyone says he definitely looks like daddy and Alex - Jason says that's because he did all the "hard work". We love our little Cole so much! Much more to come soon.....

YEA!!! Congrats to everyone! I can't wait to see a better picture of the little guy.

And I can totally sympathize with the half-assed epidural. I felt SO bad for you! sniff, sniff, it's all over now and you have a beauty of a baby. Love you!

Nanci! I'm so happy for you. He is beautiful. I wanted to come see you in the hospital but Hank woke me up this morning by throwing up on the side of my bed. So I figured maybe I shouldn't be around a cute little Cole. Call me whenever you get a chance, I want to hear the whole story.

Nanci- I am so sorry about everything you had to go through. You are one of the strongest people I know and you never complain, and so I know that it was so painful for you. I am so happy that he is here and safe and that you are out of your pain. I love you so much and I can't wait to see the little man. I love his name by the way!

I was thinking about you today! I have you written down for delivery this week on my work schedule. I'm glad that he's out--better out than in, I always say. You are a lucky woman! See you in a long time, I guess!

I am so sad I could not be there for the birthday. I am equally sad that I could not do anything for your pain. It sucks and I have never been through it, and you were a strong pioneer woman for this delivery. Give little Cole a kiss for me, I will come see him real soon. (BTW I am sad I missed the removal.)

Oh! I am so sorry again for all that you went through! Good thing it was with your third baby and not your first! I am glad that you are doing better! I am so excited that I am going to be there in LESS THAN ONE MONTH! So I get to see the lil guy! Love you!
