Round 2, Round 2 . . . What'ca Gonna Do???

First off, I must say that Jason is still working! A few other people at his work quit, so they were able to keep him on for the time being. We are just taking it a day at a time, anyways.....
Many of you probably already know that surgery #1 was unsuccessful. I am no longer "screwed" because the dang thing popped out. Last Thursday I went in for surgery #2. This time it was a bit more complicated. I can't even really tell you what they did, except it involved 2 pins and some wire (and it hurts quite a bit more). So, I'm down again. Bedrest until Tuesday and then more of the same. I really can't thank everyone who has helped me and my family enough! I am pretty independent and it's hard to rely on others to do normal, simple, mundane tasks such as getting lunch for your kids or changing the clothes from the washer to the dryer. My mom and mother-in-law have saved us!

I have down times and I know that if I let myself, I could get really depressed but I'm not gonna let that happen. In following our Prophet's words, I have been trying to find "Joy in the Journey". So, here it is . . .

My Top 10 Reason's why breaking your foot doesn't TOTALLY STINK:
  1. I only have to shave one leg . . . therefore cutting my shaving time in HALF!
  2. I get to wear Pajama's all day long and nobody questions it.
  3. I have gone from changing 95% of Cole's diapers to about 5%!
  4. The last time I had to cook diner for my family was Oct 30th.
  5. My mom is a clean FREAK and since she has been staying with me all day long, my house has never been cleaner.
  6. I "had" to stop breastfeeding.
  7. I am encourage to take a nice long nap in the afternoon while my children are being looked after by someone else.
  8. Temporary handicap parking pass, need I say more?
  9. Mama got a new scooter!

(This scooter replaced my crutches)

10. I get to ride one of these at the store:

My husband has been the BEST! He has just stepped up and become "Mommy" and "Daddy" when he is home without a complaint. I really appreciate it! Thanks Jace!

Oh no! I can't believe you had to get wired back together! I'm glad you have help, because I am not in a place where I can help you, but I do send my love to you. And I am so relieved that Jason is still working. Phew!

Okay, seriously. That scooter is the funniest thing. And, the colors are my favorite. I think I am going to get one for myself. Oh, and I love that you took pictures of both, seems like you still have your sense of humor. Hang in there, it will get better!

K so is that scooter easier than crutches? I know crutches are a pain in the butt, but that can't be much easier is it?
Well even with a broken foot you look DARLING!!!
I hope the pain gets better soon! So you can come up NORTH for the holidays!!!
Love you!

Ummmmm. I don't know which is better about the scooter- that it's baby blue or that I think I see a pink bow on it. I can't stop laughing about the Target pic. FFWD 40 yrs and we're all gonna be riding those things. I'm glad to hear you are coping with the recovery OK.

You need to put a video on your blog of you demonstrating how you use the sweet scooter! I just realized it has a brake on it! So funny! I love it!

Yes, please put a video on a.s.a.p. That seriously cracks me up. Please recover soon, because you have to come here in a couple of weeks and you are staying with me.

Holly cow! A JAZZY! I just want to know if you made the jazzy beep when you backed up. I must say I love this! However, I am so sorry to hear about your foot, but you have to admit we would be having some great laughs at cottonwood over the Jazzy. Your kids are so cute nancy. Keep up the posts. I wanted to ask you too, when we come down to St. George if you want to get together. Let me know if there is a cute little girl that would be willing to babysit and Joel and I could ditch the kids and go to dinner with you.

This all sounds horrible--but this will all be something to laugh about just like the Thanksgiving dinner fire.
