Okay, I have been tagged 3 times now (Dana - a long time ago, Jessica, and Emma). I guess that means I should probably comply. I did this a while back and you all learned some not so pleasant things about me. This time, I think I will tell ya'lls about me as a little kid (from what I can remember).
1. I am a shoplifter. And what's worse? A repeat offender. When I was probably about 5 or 6 I was shopping with my mom at Target. I asked my mom if I could get some sunglasses. She said no and kept walking. I sneakily snuck them into my coat pocket without her noticing. Phew. Well, a little while later (same shopping trip) I asked my mom for a pack of gum. Same thing, said no and kept walking. My logic? Well, it sure was easy slipping those sunglasses into my pocket, why not the gum too? So I did. I didn't even get caught until about a week later my mom discovered them both in my coat pocket. Of course, by then, most of the gum was gone. I distinctly remember NOT feeling guilty about it either!
To teach me a lesson, my mom took me to talk to the store manager. I told him I was sorry, blah, blah, blah, and that was that. Well, my mom had a few things to grab. So off to shopping we went. When we were in the line to checkout (same day as talking to the store manager) I decided I wanted more gum. So, I grabbed it and slipped it into my pocket. An old man said to me, "I don't think that gum is yours!" and I was BUSTED! My mom was sooooooo mad!
She got me in the car and drove me to the police station. She wanted me to talk to an officer that she knew but he wasn't there. So, she drove me over to have a little "chat" with the bishop. I haven't shoplifted since.
2. I have always loved the smell of skunks, gasoline, magic markers, and rubber cement (ya know, that snot like consistency glue that elementary teachers use).
3. My whole life, I have always been "pleasantly plump". When I was little, I always wanted to open a can of frosting and eat it with a spoon. My mom wouldn't ever let me and I SWORE that when I was a mom and I would eat a can of frosting with a spoon AND let my kids do the same. SICK!
4. I NEVER thought boys were gross or had cooties! Most girls go through this stage, but not me. I have always been boy crazy. I even remember having crushes on boys in preschool and kindergarten. I remember one year on Valentines day when I was probably about 9, I showered, put on my favorite PJ's and brushed my hair "just so". I thought that this boy named Reed, who lived close by, would come and knock on my window that night and ask me to be his girlfriend. So, there you go, I was a fat, delusional, boy crazy girl!
5. As I have mentioned, I have always had extra padding. Well, it doesn't help that I have inherited this lovely feature where my face turns REALLY red when I work out. I am usually not even tired or out of breath, but my cheeks are the color or Marie Osmonds when she did that crazy doll dance on Dancing with the Stars (you other TV addicted people know what I'm talking about, right?). Well, I always dreaded the day in gym that we had to run the mile. First of all, I was always one of the slowest, and then to top it all off, my face would stay red for half the day. I always tried to be "sick" on those days. Well, in 7th grade, I forgot that it was "run the mile day" in gym and went to school like normal. When I realized it, I began to freak out. The best solution I could come up with was breaking my leg. So, I stuck my leg in my locker and tried to jam the door shut. Over and over and over again. Of course it didn't work, and people started asking me what I was doing. I had to admit to them the reason I was doing it AND run the mile. What a terrible day!
6. Okay, so this is the most embarrassing one. When I was in the 5th grade I stated to "develop". Nobody else in my class was except for this, fatter than me, girl named Kim. She started to wear a bra and EVERYONE made fun of her. Well, I wasn't about to be another fat girl that needed a bra. So, I started to wear this white tank top under my shirts. It wasn't a tight-fitting, wife-beater like you may be picturing. It had some sort of decorative sewn-in embellishments (thankfully also white) on it. Somehow, in my mind, this made it less obvious that I was budding. I wore it EVERY DAY! I'm not sure how often it got washed but I know that after a while it wasn't white anymore, but a grayish-brownish color. I'm sure that all the other kids noticed it and made fun of me behind my back. My mom started to call it "Old Faithful" but didn't do anything about it. Seriously Mom, you don't let your daughter do that!
Okay, so if you are reading this and you haven't been tagged yet, then . . . Tag, You're it! Here are the rules: A: Each player list 6 facts/habits about themselves.B: At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and post their names, then go to their blogs and leave them a comment letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Ding, Dong, the Infinity's Gone!
Yeah! We finally sold our beloved Infinity. It was a great car, but not very practical for my construction site visiting husband, and my soon to be 3 kids. We had it for sale for a LONG LONG time! So, now we've got the cash burning a hole in our pockets. We are trying to decide what to get. The criteria is simple: it has to hold 3 car seats comfortably.
Jason is all for an SUV. Great, but gas prices are rising and rising and they aren't the best at fuel efficiency. I don't really want a minivan, but they are the practical choice. They get better gas mileage, they have the push button-door open convenience, and they are a bit cheaper. Jason calls them the Mormon Mobiles (no offence to anyone who owns one). I think we have narrowed it down to either a Honda Odyssey or a Honda Pilot. Pilots are better looking, but not as good in the gas mileage dept or the comfy seat dept (and maybe not quite as nerdy).
Help! What do we do?

My Day
Just a few fun things that happened today . . .
- Rachel taught me a "primary lesson" out of the phone book this morning. It went a little something like this:
Rachel: So, what do we do in primary (flip page and look up at me)
Me: Fold our arms and be reverent.
Rachel: No, we hold the bug spray (she got picked to go up front of primary and hold bug spray last week. They were talking about obeying our parents because they want to protect us . . . hence the bug spray).
Me: Oh, okay.
Rachel: What else? (flip page and look up at me)
Me: Well, listen to our teachers.
Rachel: No, color and get treats, Mom!
This went on for a while. She got through about 20 pages of the phone book. Good thing there are about a gazillion pages to go for our next "lesson"!
- Alex has been grounded since Saturday. Wow! What a mean mom! What could a 5 year old have possibly done to deserve such a punishment? Well, it's more what he won't do. See, his bedroom looks like there was a tornado in there. He refuses to clean it, as do I. I'm sorry, but I feel like I'm gonna barf every time a bend over . . . so it ain't gonna be me to give in! So, until that room gets clean, he is grounded. I say to him, "Alex, you better clean your room so you can play after preschool." His response? "Don't care!" And he doesn't.
- Just about 20 minutes ago, Alex found a petrified piece of poo in the costume bucket. Apparently Rachel deposited it there when she was going through a rough time with the potty training and we never found it! FUN! Now I get to wash every costume in the bucket (there's about 20)!
- I have about 4 loads of laundry to do, and about 4 loads waiting to be folded (I won't admit how long they have been waiting).
- I got ALL of Easter shopping done this afternoon while Alex was in preschool and Rachel was over at Grandma's house playing!
- And Last, but not Least, I vacuumed up all the ant bait from our ant infestation on Sunday.
What a day. Now I need to go make dinner.

A new discovery
I know it's been a while since my last post, but If I can get JoRae to process my request, I should have a new post about what I've been doing . . . soon.
Anyway, I discovered a new website I thought I would tell ya'lls about. It's www.myxer.com
This website lets you download ringtones for free (I'm not sure if it's only for Verizion or what???) But you can modify the songs to start where ever you want. Kinda fun. Check it out.
Peace out.

Huge Sale!
There's a sweet sale going on right now. No, it's not at Gap or Dillard's or anyplace cool like that. Thanks to one of my BFF's, Lindsay, I have become obsessed with the Albertson's General Mills sales. Nerdy, you may say, but if nerdy saves you HUNDREDS of dollars a year, than nerdy I'll gladly be!
Here's how it goes. They have assorted General Mills cereals, granola bars, fruit snacks, gogurts, cookie dough, popcorn, soup, etc. on sale for 10/$20. Here's the kicker, though. If you buy 10 of them, then they take an extra $5 off making each item only $1.50 each! They also have Betty Crocker cake mixes, dry cookie mixes, frosting, brownies, etc. 10/$15 and when you buy 10 (with extra $5 off), they are only $1 each!
Is this weird that I get so excited about it? Well, the fun part is when you have them scan your preferred card at the end and see a total of $250 diminish down to $112. It's exhilarating!
We have been warned time and time again to get our food storage in order. I feel like this is my way of having a food storage and saving a ton of money on stuff that my family eats anyway. When I go, my cart is overflowing and I get a few weird looks from other people, but it's way worth it. I feel so secure when I have a six month supply of cereal in my linen closet (that's the only place I have for food storage).
The sale starts today and runs through next Tuesday. Try it, you may get addicted to that Tuesday adds that come in your mailbox too! Happy Saving!

Lovin' my little Rachel
- She will push my cheeks together and says "You're a Cute Little Mommy!"
- She asks me "How was your sleep?" when I wake up in the morning.
- She loves to sing and constantly makes up songs that usually begin with "Jesus wants me . . . " (I always think it will continue with 'for a sunbeam', but it doesn't)
- She entertains herself really well.
- She usually obeys me.
- She is very loving. She tells me that she loves me all day long and gives me the best hugs!
- Yesterday I was feeling really sick (the stupid flu) and she kept kissing me on the forehead.
She is such a sweet girl and I'm so glad she's mine!
